Watch Gary

Before I even tried growing anything, I, of course, researched a lot about gardening over the internet. Along my research I found a Youtube channel called "The Rusted Garden". I can't express in this post how much Gary (the owner of the channel) has helped me to get started. And he is why I'm writing this post: to thank him, and tell you to watch him too. I'm sure you will learn a lot, even if you are an experienced gardener. The best videos on his channel are the ones that show and share the joy of collecting fruits that you have grown yourself. Like Gary likes to say: "A garden wants to give", his has given him a lot. Not just fruits, but happiness. Here's one of them:

Update on my plants 7/12/2018

Ever since I started planting herbs to use in my the kitchen, I never stopped growing new plants. From herbs I went to fruits, and from fruits, vegetables. Here's a picture of some of my herbs: Here you can see thyme, parsley, rosemary, basil, mint, and chives (right on the back), and you can even see a tomato on the left, on a 5 gallon vase. The first vegetable I planted was a type of pumpkin common in countries that once were colonized by Portugal. We call it Moranga . Here's a picture: So far it's been a true joy to watch them grow. I'm so excited I can't wait to start picking fruits that I've grown myself. In another post, I'll write in details about the problems, such as pests, that I've encountered so far, and how I dealt with them.
